Waxed Crescent Grazing Company

How many of us were told not to play with our food growing up?

Thankfully for all the hungry munchers, Liz Stannard didn’t let those antiquated meal time rules get in the way.

Liz is the woman and wonder behind the artistic genius of Waxed Crescent Grazing Company.

Her botanical inspired grazing boards, boxes and tables offer up a feast for the eyes and what will undoubtably be watering mouths.

Salami roses, delicately cut kiwi, and elegant citrus slices grace her edible arrangements that are almost too pretty to eat.

Almost is the key word here, because once you taste the perfectly selected and sliced Manchego, buttery green olives and delightful dried apricots, you’re going to want to keep going until that graze is devoured.

I’ve been a huge fan of the visuals that Liz puts out for quite some time.

I love watching local business grow and feel weirdly proud when I see a long time Instagram acquaintance flourish in their field.

The presentations shown by Waxed Crescent are always so gorgeous, I find myself hungrily looking forward to her next reel.

Finally, last Thursday, we got to take this Instagram thing to the next level and meet IRL.

Not only does Liz create these gorgeous grazing boards, but is now offering workshops so you too can become a charcuterie master!!

I signed myself and a few friends up for said workshop immediately and was delighted to see it was being hosted in All Paths Merge.

(super cute Highland Square shop we’ve previously featured).

Our workshop was such a fun outing.

Deliciously curated munchies awaited the participants, along with light springtime sips and a super chill vibe.

We sat down to a bounty of meats, cheeses, and all the accoutrements.

I have never cut a kiwi so gracefully in my life!

I learned how to slice and style my brie, and my salami rose was better than anything a bachelor ever handed out.

It was such a lovely, light evening with friends and Liz truly did a masterful job of engaging with each participant as we sliced and styled our way to graze board perfection.

I left with a board (and box) piled high and a smile on my face.

That’s a workshop success!

I can’t wait for my next opportunity to connect with Liz.

She’s into connecting, too, with other area small businesses that help make her grazing experiences extra special.

Local favorite Akron Honey is used in a multitude of ways, and she’s using the freshest bread from Low Rent Fancy Bread Co. to compliment her prosciutto ribbons.

We love a lady that is into collabs!

These boards and boxes are available in large and small sizes, catering to weddings, parties, corporate events, or a picnic for two.

Plus all the customizations for vegetarians and those who don’t do gluten.

You’ll want to order one. Or two. Or five.

This is a judgment free zone.

Just be sure to invite me over for the graze.
