It’s All About Those Nooks and Crannies

Sure, we all enjoy a buttery,
toasted English muffin.

But what do we reeeally love..? Anyone..? Anyone..?

Bueller..?

Cozy corners, well used space, more room for stuff…AKA “ nooks.”

We all flipping’ love a nook.

Something about the little cut-out notch in a wall, or a private space where you can cozy up and binge-watch or read whatever you like.

So, now you’re thinking,

“ Okay. But my house doesn’t have nooks.

I have zero nooks.”

Wrong!!

For every closet in your house,
there is a potential nook.

(Has he gone mad?)

It’s true!

Some of you actually have closets that you just keep, like wrapping paper in and nothing else. Or a sewing closet heaped full of mostly stuff you don’t even use when you sew!

Sooo…look at those closets again. Could they be cleaned out? Consolidated?

Woo-hoo! You just got yourself a nook.

The potential for a nook (and yes, I AM  going to use that word at least 37 times in one blog), is endless!

The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

I, for instance, see a coat closet next to a front, side, or back door and think- Entryway Nook!

Pop the door(s) off, put in a bench and a few hooks and Voila!

What time is it? Nook time.

Charm just waltzed right in and plopped down in your entryway, for all to see.

A closet in the den or TV room? For what? VHS tapes?

Get that door off, slide in a bar cart, hang a glass shelf and BOOM!

Bar nook.

Baby on the way? Think they’ll be needing that closet for all their three-piece suits?

Me neither. Their clothes are smaller than my socks.

You just found yourself a Nursery Nook.

For the crib, toys, whatever!

The scope of opportunity is vast here, folks.

Closet in your bedroom? Vanity!!

Hallway? Reading nook.

Extra room? Sewing/Craft nook! Go ahead and hang a cool curtain to keep it private, if you like! It’s YOUR nook!

Kid’s room feeling cramped? Get some good shelving for the clothes and put…

wait for it… the BED in the NOOK (formerly known as the “closet).

Coolest bed ever! Tucked away and cozy as can be.

So, yes, you have nooks.

They are probably covered with doors and have a bar to hang clothes in.

But wouldn’t it be fun if one had a bar to hang your wine glasses? And your wine?

I thought so.
But don’t give up on those English muffins.

A nook is a nook. And some are simply delish.
