Drag Queen Bingo Brunch


WOW WOW WOW WOW.

More perfect words to describe the Dauber Divas Drag Bingo Brunch at Jaja may not exist. Earlier this month, I took Zach, Jane, and my Instagram bestie Ray Whin out for a Saturday full of fun, drinks, pancake skewers, and some of the best entertainment Cleveland has to offer. 

Stepping inside Jaja, located on Gehring Avenue in Ohio City, it's an instant vibe. Lighting, wallpaper, fringed lamps, delicately woven vines, and twinkling leaves overhead, plus a retractable glass roof all make it a worthy venture, and that's before you even see a menu.

We were greeted and seated right away, and once our cocktail orders were placed, we all oohed and aahed over the fantastic ambiance of the space and the festive looks of our fellow brunchgoers.

It was a Valentine's themed event, and all the attendees came decked out for the experience.

None could hold a candle to our hosts for this mid-morning fun...

These Queens go by Peach Fuzz and Anhedonia Delight and delight us they did!

While we sipped espresso-laced delights and munched on a fantastic brunch buffet, they took us on quite the adventure.

There was Bingo, of course, plenty of witty banter that had every guest rolling with laughter…

…and performances that captivated your attention and truly made you appreciate the art form of drag.

The space was intimate, but it didn't stop these ladies from giving their performances all they had and engaging with everyone in the room.

And as if their original vibrant looks weren't enough of a treat, there was a full costume change midway through.

I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Saturday.

While none of our group quite made it to BINGO, we did have the absolute best time. It was so great to experience this with friends who'd never attended a drag show before, and all left saying this one definitely won't be their last.

We all know it's great to try out new things, but it is so enjoyable taking friends to experience things I know they're going to love for the first time.

And you never know, next time it may be your name on the invitation.
