All Paths Merge

On a snowy January morning, I followed a path (otherwise know as W. Exchange) to one of the cutest local shops you’re going to want to get familiar with.

All Paths Merge opened just a few months ago and is located in a 1915 triangular brick building at the corner of W Exchange Street and Jefferson Avenue in Highland Square.

Stepping inside, the floor to ceiling windows flood the store with natural light - It’s bright, open, and instantly welcoming.

Lining the shelves of this charming retailer you’ll find a varied assortment of goods from local artisans.

Adorable mugs and cups?

They have them.

Locally made teas and honey to go in said cups?

They have that too.

Plus fresh baked breads, cookies, adorable knits, baby toys, jewelry, hair accessories, candles, home adornments, stationary… The list goes on and on, all local, and is constantly growing.

I even found some beard balm that smelled amazing, it was just what I needed with the dry winter air.

Regular deliveries of the aforementioned bread and cookies will keep you coming in on a regular basis, plus they offer the occasional ceramics or cookie decorating workshop, with more to come.

They are also right across the street from one of the local apiaries that supplies The Akron Honey Company (which they also carry in store) and have participated in some of their community events already – mini streets festivals with food trucks, more local vendors, and fun for the whole family. You know Highland Square loves a festival.

The best part about this shop (from a long list of good parts) is easily the owners and operators, Daniel and Kami Coughlin. They’ll have you feeling at ease the moment you enter.

These newlyweds had a lot of excitement this past year– a gorgeous wedding in a National Park, opening this community friendly market, and then they got to work on a little baby Coughlin due later this year.

Daniel and Kami are passionate hikers and equally passionate about community and bringing people together.

They believe that when people merge their paths together, those people can grow stronger communities.

They have absolutely brought this philosophy to life in their shop.

They have big goals for their family and their store, (where Kami is actually one of the artisans, with some gorgeous minimalist style baubles).

So pop in, discover something new, and let your path merge with this Akron gem.
